Privacy Policy
The short version
- Aksentia does not collect, store, transmit, sell, or share any personal data.
- No account, registration, email, or phone number is required.
- No advertising, no analytics, no tracking, no third-party SDKs that collect data.
- All learning progress is stored only on your device and is deleted when you uninstall the app.
- The app is designed to be safe for users of all ages, including children under 13.
1. Who we are
Aksentia ("Aksentia", "we", "us", or "our") is a language-learning application that helps people of all ages learn Mandarin Chinese and English. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information in connection with the Aksentia mobile application (the "App") available on Google Play, and the website aksentia.id (the "Website").
By using the App or Website, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
2. Information we do not collect
Aksentia is built on a simple principle: we do not need your data to teach you a language. We therefore do not collect, request, process, store, or transmit any of the following:
- Personal identifiers such as name, email address, phone number, date of birth, or postal address
- Account credentials — the App has no sign-up, login, or user accounts
- Device identifiers such as Android Advertising ID, IMEI, MAC address, or serial number
- Precise or approximate location data
- Contacts, photos, files, calendar, call logs, or SMS messages
- Audio or voice recordings — if a pronunciation feature is used, audio is processed on-device only and is never stored or transmitted
- Financial or payment information
- Health, biometric, or other sensitive information
- Usage analytics, crash reports, or diagnostic data sent to us or to third parties
- Browsing history or in-app search history
We do not use cookies, web beacons, fingerprinting, or any other tracking technologies in the App.
3. Data stored on your device
To function, the App keeps a small amount of information locally on your device only. This information never leaves your device and is not accessible to us or to anyone else.

All of this data is permanently deleted when you clear the App's data in your Android settings or uninstall the App. Because we never receive this data, we cannot recover it for you.
4. App permissions
Aksentia requests only the minimum permissions needed to operate:

The App does not request access to location, contacts, camera, storage outside its own sandbox, phone state, or any other sensitive permission.
5. Third-party services
The App does not integrate any third-party advertising networks, analytics providers, social media SDKs, or data brokers. We do not share information with third parties because we have no information to share.
The App is distributed through Google Play. Google may collect certain information in connection with your download and use of Google Play (such as installation statistics) under its own privacy policy, which is available at policies.google.com/privacy. We do not have access to any personal information from Google Play.
The Website may contain links to external sites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites.
6. Children's privacy
Aksentia is designed to be suitable for users of all ages, including children under the age of 13 (or the applicable age of digital consent in your country). We take children's privacy seriously and design the App in line with the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) provisions on children, Indonesia's Personal Data Protection Law (UU PDP No. 27/2022), and the Google Play Families Policy.
- We do not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children.
- The App contains no advertising of any kind.
- The App contains no in-app purchases, social features, chat, user-generated content, or external links that a child could follow from within the App.
- No account is required, so no child can create a profile or be identified.
Because we collect no data, there is no data for a parent or guardian to review or delete. If you are a parent or guardian and believe that we have somehow received information about your child, please contact us at the address below and we will investigate and delete it immediately.
7. Data security
The most effective way to protect data is not to collect it. Since Aksentia does not collect or transmit personal data, there is no personal data on our servers that could be lost, breached, or misused. Content downloads from our servers are made over encrypted HTTPS connections.
8. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of your personal data, and to object to processing or request portability. Because Aksentia does not collect any personal data, there is no data for us to provide, correct, or delete. You remain in full control of the data stored on your device:
- Delete all data: uninstall the App, or go to Android Settings → Apps → Aksentia → Storage → Clear data.
- Revoke microphone access: Android Settings → Apps → Aksentia → Permissions.
If you have any question about your rights, contact us and we will respond within 30 days.
9. International users
Aksentia is operated from Indonesia and is available worldwide. Since no personal data is collected or transferred, no cross-border data transfer of personal data takes place.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example if we add a new feature. Any change will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. If a future change would involve collecting personal data, we will update this policy before that change takes effect and, where required by law, ask for your consent. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
